10 Aug Monolog – Rockstar Heaven EP
The EP Rockstar heaven is the debut of Monolog, an ongoing Dutch/German musical collaboration between producers/musicians Leisure B and the Lookman bros Bastian and Ramon, bridging the cultural and musical divide, featuring 6 tracks and two remixes with different styles and influences, with contributions of fellow musicians from different musical and international backgrounds.The remix contributions are by the Australian band “Fire to the Stars” and German producer Tonfilm for the song “Another Day”.
Although Monolog propagandizes and exercises the merge between different musical styles and mixtures thereof, the EP breaths its own overall unique Monolog sound which ranges from experimental pop and rock to triphop and breakbeat. Influences and/or similar artists if Monolog has to mention any, are Groove Armada, Bass Nectar, Snowpatrol, Jai Paul and Little Dragon, with ‘70-s and ‘90-s music generally as a big influence. However this might and most probably will differ on the next EP which is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2015.
